Poor health and safety in workplaces potentially affect millions of workers in fashion supply chains, resulting in deaths, injuries and long-term illnesses.

The devastating Tazreen factory fire of 2012 and the Rana Plaza building collapse of 2013 both put fashion supply chains in the spotlight for their poor record on health and safety. Although such large-scale single incidents have not been reported recently, the fashion industry continues to inflict injury and death upon millions of workers operating in factories across the world.
